Require Alt Text Across All Subaccounts

Parent admins can now require alt text on images across all subaccounts. Alt text has always been possible in Emma—what’s new is that you can make it mandatory once, at the top of your account structure, instead of relying on every user to remember.

From the parent account, go to Subaccounts > Subaccount Defaults and turn on Require alt text. It’s off by default. Once it’s on, it applies to every current and future subaccount, and subaccount users can’t turn it off.

With the setting on, emails can’t be sent or scheduled until every image has alt text.

A few things worth knowing:

• Available on Emma for Teams and Emma Corporate. 
• Existing campaigns and templates aren’t changed retroactively, but they’ll need alt text added before they can be sent or scheduled.
