Emma brings advanced email automation to marketing teams with launch of Emma Plus

New platform signals major marketing automation move for software provider

(NASHVILLE, TENN. – September 8, 2016) Emma, a provider of best-in-class marketing software and services, today announced the official launch of Emma Plus, a product offering designed to bring advanced email automation capabilities to marketing teams of all sizes.

With Emma Plus, marketers can easily create automated campaigns based on customer behavior both inside and outside the inbox; activities like completing a purchase (or just stopping short), browsing a website, viewing or clicking a previous email, or virtually any other activity synced with Emma's new Event API. Using Emma's intuitive workflow builder, marketers can map content to the customer journey they're trying to create, employing advanced techniques like branching logic to trigger different content based on different customer actions.

"Marketing automation is getting a ton of attention these days," said Emma CEO Clint Smith. "And yet, many marketers either aren’t doing it well or doing it at all. The tools are often clunky, the data to power it is often lacking, and a little advice is often hard to come by. With Emma Plus, we charged our product team with designing the most intuitive automation dashboard around, and our onboarding and success teams with providing guidance and hands-on technical assistance that helps even the savviest marketers craft a truly engaging customer experience."

The new offering also leverages robust integrations with CRMs like Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics, e-commerce platforms like Shopify and Magento and other best-of-breed platforms. And in partnership with Litmus, Emma Plus provides an embedded Inbox Preview feature that lets marketers instantly see how their campaigns will appear in virtually every type of inbox. At the heart of Emma Plus is the campaign design suite, part of the reason Emma's user experience is often touted by customers and reviewers as the industry’s best.

"Our expertise is translating sophisticated marketing tactics into an unrivaled customer experience," said Scott Sears, Emma vice president of client experience. "From intuitive product features to stellar customer support to readily available onboarding specialists and success managers, we’re out to provide a truly memorable experience at every level. Emma Plus is our very best effort to do just that."

The launch of Emma Plus comes on the heels of the company's recent addition of ExactTarget co-founder Peter McCormick to its board of directors, the hiring of former sales executive Joey Brown as vice president of sales, and a capital raise last year that has helped the company accelerate product efforts, invest in key partner integrations and expand its sales team.
