When will the account upgrade happen?

We’ll upgrade your account on June 1, 2017 and your new billing will go into effect on July 1.

Is there anything I need to do to prepare my account for the upgrade?

No, there is nothing you’ll need to do. The new features and updated design and navigation will be enabled on the day of your upgrade. We’ll have in-app messages to help point out new features you can take advantage of.

Am I going to lose access to any features?

All audience information, campaigns, and response results in your Emma account will remain the same. Triggers, however, are not supported and any existing triggers will need to be rebuilt as automation workflows after the upgrade.

Is my billing changing?

Yes. Your billing plan is changing to a flat-rate charge based on the highest number of active contacts you have each month. This is a proactive charge which means you’ll be billed a flat rate at the beginning of the month, and any overages will be charged at the end of the month. This contact-based pricing means you’ll no longer have to adjust your monthly sending volume.

What will cause my pricing to change?

Your subscription is a flat monthly rate that allows sending up to a set number of contacts.  Once you exceed that number, you will be charged a per-contact overage. For example, if your monthly rate allows up to 10K contacts and you import an additional 1K contacts bringing your total to 11K active contacts, you will be charged a per-contact overage for the 1K contacts.

How is my monthly price calculated?

The upgraded plan allows for a set number of active contacts per month. Each month, Emma logs the total number of active contacts in the account during that month at its highest. If there were overages during the month, they will be billed retroactively on your next invoice.

How are the monthly contact totals calculated?

Each month Emma logs the total number of active contacts in the account during that month at its highest.  This includes all active contacts in the account, plus any contacts that were deleted from active status during the month.  Error and opt-out contacts never count towards your contact totals.

Are there other pricing options?

We do offer discounted pricing for an annual plan. Click here to send a message to our accounts team and we’ll talk through annual pricing.

Do I have to upgrade?

Yes. After May 1, 2017, we’re no longer supporting the current version of your Emma account. The good news is that you’ll be on a much more predictive billing cycle and, as we continue to release new features, you’ll always be the first to get the latest and greatest.
