Emma’s Year in Review


2022, another eventful year. We navigated our way through new challenges and new marketing trends that continue to keep us on our toes. But with all this "new" we still made sure we evolved our strategies to stand out and connect with our audience.

This year has brought a renewed focus on collaboration, creating lasting impressions and providing value, all in the pursuit of true connection. We believe that connecting with our customers is how we measure success - so this trend, for us, is one that will go well into 2023 and beyond.

Before we close out on a fruitful 2022, let’s take a moment to look back and recognize the achievements and milestones we’ve accomplished.

Together, we made an impression

This year, Emma customers sent over 9.03 billion emails that were opened all around the world!

And, you designed 27,054 email templates that made sure you stood out in the inbox.

You embraced technology and leveled up your email marketing game

You got smarter with your emails – A/B testing 3,242 campaigns (up 7% from 2021) and implementing 33,722 subject line tests to drive that all important subscriber engagement.

You created 7,335 automated journeys to send timely and relevant emails to your subscribers, while reducing your workload! Think of all the time you saved.

Our new product releases worked harder and smarter

We’re always listening to our customers' and as a result we released 25 new features in 2022, including our HQ Marketing Calendar and New Sub-to-Sub sharing capabilities.

Our biggest 2022 product release was the launch of Emma’s New Editor. The new drag-and-drop editor was developed to help our Emma customers create beautiful, powerful email designs with greater flexibility, in less time. And, since launching the new editor, we’ve already made some exciting improvements, giving customers even more design control:

  • Customization at the click of a button: We replaced the text content block with three new options – paragraph, title & list – so you can customize your campaign quicker and easier.
  • Improved mobile experience : Our mobile-specific styling controls help you customize your email design for mobile without impacting your desktop design. Easily adjust alignment and add padding for subscribers who read emails on the go.
  • Simple section styling: You can now add padding and borders around sections to make sure your campaigns are consistent.

  • Signals22: our virtual relationship marketing event, hosted by CM Group, brought you 30 presentations over 4 days mapped to the 4 stages of relationship marketing - Acquire, Engage, Personalize and Retain. Watch the sessions on-demand.
  • We released 9 new email templates that help you drive interest and engagement in your email programs. Find them under the "latest category" in the template gallery.
