Social sharing widens your campaign's reach, but it doesn't do so automatically (dangit). Here are five tips to make sure your audience is sharing -- and loving -- your campaigns (hooray!).
Putting the latest trends to work
We've taken the response numbers already available to you in your response section and put them in chart form to give you a clear picture of how your email campaigns are performing. Adding social media icons to your email campaigns with Emma’s social sharing feature takes just a few seconds, but it can increase your campaign's reach and help you identify your most avid followers. Who knew all of that could be as simple as pushing a couple of buttons?
In email marketing circles, we know that things like open and click-through rates vary wildly not only from industry to industry, but even among campaigns sent by the same organization. In our own Emma campaigns, for example, our click-through rate can dip as low as 3% in emails where getting people to click is not particularly important to us, and rise as high as 40% when it's something we clearly set out to do. When we do want people to click, we make sure the link goes to really worthwhile content, we position that link prominently in the email, and we frame it in a way that entices even the most casual reader to consider hitting it. That's a much different approach from campaigns where the object is to get people to read, not click, and it's a good example of Emma's tip #1 for comparing campaigns.

So if creating great-looking campaigns is one of your style goals this year (along with other fashion mantras of "less spandex" and "maybe not so much on the fringe there, tiger"), then we're happy to share what's hot in email design here at Emma. Here are ten trends to get you started, and yeah, good call on the fringe.
