Emma Hires Jeff Middlesworth as Chief Product Officer

Marketing software company taps the former Senior Director of Marketing Automation at Salesforce Marketing Cloud to lead product and engineering

(NASHVILLE, TENN. – October 12, 2016) Emma, a provider of best-in-class email marketing software and services, today announced the hiring of Jeff Middlesworth as the company's chief product officer. Middlesworth is the former senior director of marketing automation at Salesforce Marketing Cloud (formerly ExactTarget) and brings more than 15 years of enterprise product development experience to Emma.

Middlesworth joined ExactTarget in 2001, where he drove the expansion of their product footprint into enterprise marketing, marketing automation and cross-channel campaigns. Under his product leadership, ExactTarget grew to $400 million in revenue, resulting in a successful NYSE IPO in 2012 and acquisition by Salesforce for $2.5 billion in 2013.

The addition of Middlesworth continues the forward momentum of the Nashville-based software company, which recently added ExactTarget co-founder Peter McCormick to its board of directors and former sales executive Joey Brown as vice president of sales. Jeff's hiring also comes fresh on the heels of the release of Emma Plus, an expanded platform designed to bring next-level email automation capabilities to marketing teams of all sizes, and a capital raise last year that helped Emma accelerate product efforts and staff expansion.
