All finished, friend!

Thanks so much for sending us your design request. A confirmation email is on its way to you, and we'll be in touch to follow up on any further questions.

If you'd like to begin another request, please click here.

Welcome to Emma's design form. We're so glad to have you.

In the next few minutes, we'll get all the info we need to begin work on your new design request. Keep in mind that the more specific you can be with your directions, the better and faster we can do the work. Let's get started, shall we?

  • The person we should contact about this request

  • The email address used to log into Emma

  • Where we should send questions and confirmation emails for this request

  • Where we can reach you with questions about this request

  • The business or organization name associated with your Emma account

Thanks for stopping by. What can we do for you?

  • Choose this option for a header + footer template, which will frame the email content that you add in on your end.

  • This is a template for the body of your email, with image and text boxes arranged however you’d like. Your account already features dozens of free ones, but you can choose this option to have us create an additional layout built to your custom specifications.

  • This is for one-off speciality mailings. Send us the email you've designed as a PDF or big campaign image, and we'll code it for the inbox. Keep in mind that it won't be editable afterward.

  • If you already have a design in your Emma account and need some minor changes (new address, color swap, logo update, etc.), choose this option.

  • If you’d like a simple, white stationery that allows you to upload your own header design, and our support staff will drop a blank template into your account for free.

You have chosen to get revisions to an existing design. What do you have in mind?

  • This is the header + footer template that frames your email content.

  • This is the arrangement of image and/or text boxes in the body of your email.

  • If you have revisions to a slice and dice, we will need to completely re-slice the file, and a new fee will apply to the work. We'll also need the finished, revised art file, which you can provide in the next steps along with any additional instructions.

You have chosen to provide your own stationery design for us to code. Glad to oblige, you design-savvy maven!

Note: We do not accept Word, PowerPoint, Publisher or InDesign files.

If you are providing layered art files (such as Photoshop or Illustrator), please make sure your type is converted to outlines to protect the integrity of your design.

If you have multiple files, please zip ’em up! Not sure how? Click here.

On Mac: Locate the file or folder on your desktop and click to highlight it. If you have more than one file, hold the Command key while clicking each file. Choose File > Compress.

On PC: Locate the file or folder and click to highlight it. Right-click and choose 'Add to Zip' or 'Add to Archive.'

Maximum file size is 20MB.

  • A physical address is required by the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003. If nothing is entered below, we'll use the address we have on file for you.

Please enter the information as you would like it to appear in your footer.

  • Please provide any other instructions, such as where to link your header or if you want a specific background color.

Did you know that it’s possible to create your own slice and dice for free?

  • I am HTML-savvy and I'd like to get a free guide to slicing and coding my own campaign design.

You have chosen to get a slice and dice campaign. Lovely!

Please upload your materials here. Here's what we need from you:

    1. The finalized campaign artwork.

Remember that a slice and dice is an image-based campaign for a one-time send (it will not be editable once we slice and code it). If you need an editable, re-usable template, please go back and request a custom layout. Thank you!

We accept nearly all kinds of image files (e.g. JPG, PNG, GIF, etc.) as well as PDFs, but we do not accept Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint or Publisher.

    2. The plaintext version of your campaign.

This is the text-only version of your campaign content, which we will also code into your mailing. This way, any readers who don't accept images in their inboxes will still see your content -- but don't worry, Emma will still send the image-based version to anyone whose personal email preferences allow it.

You may provide a word processing document (.txt, .rtf, Microsoft Word or iWork Pages) for the plaintext version of your campaign.

Maximum file size is 20MB. Zip up multiple files, please. Not sure how to create a zip file?

On Mac: Locate the file or folder on your desktop and click to highlight it. If you have more than one file, hold the Command key while clicking each file. Choose File > Compress.

On PC: Locate the file or folder and click to highlight it. Right-click and choose 'Add to Zip' or 'Add to Archive.'

Oh, and a few more things.

  • Does your website have navigation links? They might look nice in your header…

The navigation menu (those links that are sometimes across the top of a website, which point to different pages of the site) can be a great tool to drive clicks from your emails to your website.

Let us know here which links (if any) should be featured in your email header. If you don't mention any links below, we'll assume that's a big "no, thank you."

  • If someone else has done a great job of communicating the kind of style you want to achieve, give us the link to their website and we'll take a look. This kind of thing is quite helpful when we're getting to know your brand.

You chose to get a brand new, custom-built layout (a template for the body of your email, with image and text boxes arranged however you specify). Let’s go over the details, shall we?

  • We’ll need to know details like:

    • What should be editable vs. permanent?
    • What should be an image box and what should be a text box?
    • Would you like inline styles? (That’s special code to make your text default to the font, color and size you want, so you don’t have to do it manually.)

Did we get all that?

Please take a look and make sure everything is right. If you spot something that needs changing, you can use the progress dots above to return to a previous page.

When will your design work be ready?

Your designer will be in touch within business days to let you know that your work is complete, but keep in mind that incomplete or inaccurate requests will delay the completion of your work. Take a look at this checklist to make sure you’ve provided everything we need, and if not, feel free to go back and edit your request:

  • Did you provide your logo or any other materials we might need to complete the request? (Remember that we do not accept Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Publisher, or Adobe InDesign.)
  • If you are requesting that we set up any links for you, such as social media buttons, did you provide the URLs (e.g. http://www.facebook.com/emmaemail)?
  • If you are requesting revisions, did you specify what needs to be revised, and what changes you’re wanting to see?
  • If you are requesting a customized content layout, did you provide specific directions based on your content needs, or provide a mock-up with notes about what should be editable vs. permanent?

A design consultant will check in with you once your request has been processed (usually 3-4 business days) just to confirm that we’re on track or to request additional information, materials, or clarification from you. Please be sure to provide that as needed so we can complete the work as quickly as possible for you. Thanks so much!
