Meet Iced.

How a South Carolina cupcake cafe builds a sweet following.

It's all about getting people to come in and try our product — and then we keep them coming back. Emma helps us do that with ease.

More than sweet talk.

As Iced owner Courtney Tessler knows, it takes more than a sugar rush to turn curious onlookers into loyal customers. That's where Iced's Emma-powered emails come in. Cupcake lovers discover new flavors, events and coupons, all in a pretty package designed either by Courtney (super easy) or Emma's talented graphic designers (super easy-er).

I like having the option to design my own campaigns, or have a custom template designed for me. (I do both!) It's not generic: No other company's emails look like ours do.

Birthday wishes come true.

Folks who sign up for Iced emails receive a surprise: A free birthday cupcake coupon arrives in their inbox right on time every year. It's all handled by Emma's simple, automated trigger feature, which means Courtney can spend less time on the computer and more time dreaming up new promotions and flavors. Seriously, we're talking chocolate-dipped strawberry cupcakes here, people.

Our birthday emails bring website visitors into the cafe, and they make our regular customers feel special. And there's really no upkeep.

Double the cupcakes, triple the subscribers.

When a customer visits Iced with a birthday email coupon in hand, they often leave not only with a freebie, but also with a few treats for later. While the cupcakes are flying out the door, Courtney can easily track how many recipients are opening their Iced emails and forwarding irresistible offers to friends. Word is getting around: In just 18 months, Iced has more than tripled its email list. Hello, sugar high.

Our Emma updates keep our customers linked to us. We like that, and so do they. When we try new flavors, they're the first to know.
