Don’t trust your gut: Use surveys to find out how you’re doing

12 Days of Email Tips: On the fourth day...

Today's installment of our 12 Days of Email Tips is all about listening. As the year comes to a close, it's a great time to reflect and make plans for the upcoming year. You know what projects and campaigns felt like wins and what fell flat, but have you taken actual audience feedback into consideration?

Stop assuming you know what your customers are thinking

In a recent survey, 74 percent of respondents claimed to get frustrated with websites when content, offers, ads, and promotions appear that have nothing to do with their interests.

Through email, you have the power to find out what your email subscribers are interested in hearing more about, what types of content they want to engage with, and even how often they want to hear from you.

Your email list is your most engaged online audience – these are people who have provided you with their (valuable) email address and trust you to do right by it – why not honor that relationship by asking for feedback?

Use Emma's SurveyMonkey integration to listen with your emails

One of our favorite bits of news this past year was our integration with SurveyMonkey. Over 15 million people reply on SurveyMonkey for online surveys, and this integration allows every Emma customer to access their SurveyMonkey surveys in just a couple clicks. We made setup extra easy, too. If you haven't tried it yet, watch this intro video, start using your emails to listen as well as tell.
