Ask Emma

Dear Worried,

You're not the only one asking questions. Microsoft's release of Outlook 2007 has generated a fair amount of buzz recently in the world of email marketing and design. Why's that, you ask? Well, every email program translates HTML code a bit differently, and some folks are concerned that Outlook 2007's process of rendering HTML is a little *too* different.

But we've got good news for you, Worried. We made a decision here at the Emma shop, when Outlook 2007 was just a twinkle in some programmer's eye, to keep the HTML code behind Emma emails simple, clean, and easily readable by most every email program out there. And for the most part, the code that's kept your emails looking great so far is going to look just fine in Outlook 2007, too. We've put together a handy online guide that will walk you through all the considerations of Outlook 2007, including handy screenshots and more details to be aware of if you're designing your own HTML.

If this A has spurred another Q, just speak up. Oh, and next time you see Stan, give him a little pat on the back. Because even Stan needs a little love sometimes.

Cheers,
Emma
